Ifeanyi Chiejine Cup: We thank God for seeing Imo Strikers through to the final – Nelly Orisakwe

Imo Strikers are the first team to reach the final of the maiden edition of the Ifeanyi Chiejine Memorial Cup as they defeated Moje Queens 9-8 in penalty shootout at the semifinal stage.

Speaking to The Press, the coach of Imo Strikers, Nelly Orisakwe said she didn’t have any doubt about Imo Strikers reaching the final of the Ifeanyi Chiejine Cup and it wasn’t a surprise rather too.

“Well, I thank God for seeing us through to the final, we are hoping to win the trophy.

“I don’t know have any doubt for Imo Strikers to be in the final, it has been God’s grace, there’s no competition that we play in that we don’t get to the final or the 3rd place. So our qualifying to play in the final is not a surprise and we thank God for that.”
