Ifako-Ijaiye Launches Support Initiative for Elderly and Widows
In a significant move to improve the lives of elderly citizens and widows within Ifako-Ijaiye, the local government has launched a support initiative on January 30th, 2025, aimed at providing essential resources and assistance to these vulnerable community members.
The initiative reflects Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government’s dedication to social welfare and community development, particularly in light of the current economic challenges.
At the event, held at the local government headquarters, Executive Chairman Hon. Usman Akanbi Hamzat oversaw the distribution of financial aid, food packages, and health services to aged individuals and widows residing in Ifako-Ijaiye.
This program is designed to address the specific needs of these groups and ease the difficulties they face amidst the ongoing global crises.
Hon. Mrs. Oluwatoyin Awoniyi Akerele, the Vice Chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government, stated, “We acknowledge the valuable contributions of our elderly citizens and widows to our society.
