The Hubertha Kiddies Cup holding at Mahmud Ahmadiyya college, Ijede, Ikorodu kicked off in grand style.

Different array of young talented footballers were in display in the competition as they battle it out among each other to advance to the next round.

The competition, which is in majorly two categories of U14 and U16. In the U14 category which saw Lofty Skills SA emerging as the highest goal scoring side in the day one of the sporting event by crushing Simerio FA 5-0 in two legged fixture and it would be an herculean task for Simerio FA to have a comeback in the 2nd leg.

Circle Range FA lost to Victory Ones FA by a lone goal and Victory Ones have to avoid defeat in the second leg to advance to the next round, while Circle Range FA have to win the second leg by a wide margin to advance to the next round.

Thick Nation showed their thickness in front of goal as they defeated Mountain Lions FA 3-0, Danny K FA had a slim advantage over Unique Heritage FA 1-0, while Ablaze FA and Trojan FA shared the spoils 1-1 in a fascinating set of matches.

The U16 category was also a rainfall of goals as Simario FA defeated Ablaze by a lone goal.

Shinning Light FA couldn’t keep their lights shinning, as Leo FA knocked them off 2-0.

Three teams had a successful walk over against their opponent and which gave them a 3 goal cushion league after they failed to meet up with time frame of the matches. The teams who advanced through walk over are FC Robo junior team, Olisado Malaolu FA and Dominion FA.

A total of 3 goals were given in favor of the teams got a walk over to the 2nd leg of the competition, while the likes of Danny K FA, Mountain Lions FA and Young Talent FA couldn’t turn up in time for their matches as they go 3 goals down and have to be at their best, I’d they could win their opponent in the second leg.

Eto FA and Circle Range FA shared the spoils as they played a 1-1 draw in the first leg.
