Govt Begins Construction of Lambo Lasunwon Road In Ikorodu

The flag-off ceremony for the Lambo Lasunwon road construction marked a pivotal moment for infrastructural development in Ikorodu North LCDA, doubling as a grand birthday tribute to Honourable Babajimi Benson, the driving force behind the transformative initiatives in the region.
Attended by personalities including Senator Seye Ogunlewe, a member of the Governors Advisory Council, and Honourable Muyideen Adeola Jokomba, the Lagos State APC party secretary, the event started with appreciation for Honourable Benson’s steadfast dedication to Ikorodu’s transformation.
Distinguished figures such as Builder Sesan Daini and Hon. Sulaiman Kazeem, Executive Chairmen of neighboring LCDAs, and His Royal Majesty, Oba Olukayode Raji JP, the Eweye of Isiu land, joined in commending Honourable Benson’s efforts to address longstanding infrastructural challenges.
Amidst speeches extolling Honourable Benson’s proactive approach in tackling community issues, Builder Deola Banjo expressed deep gratitude for the Lambo Lasunwon road project, heralding it as a significant stride in the council’s development agenda.
Honourable Olasunkanmi Tijani echoed sentiments of relief, highlighting the positive impact of Honourable Benson’s intervention on residents’ livelihoods and the council’s capacity to serve its constituents effectively.
In a show of unity and festivity, dignitaries joined Builder Banjo in cutting the birthday cake, accompanied by a musical performance from DJ Slim, underscoring the camaraderie and collective spirit that characterized the occasion.
Beyond political accolades, Oba Olukayode David Raji, the Eweye of Isiu, hailed Honourable Benson as the “Oluomo of Ikorodu division,” recognizing his transformative influence on the region’s socio-economic landscape.
Mayor Deen Sanwoola, Director General of the iCare Foundation, utilized the platform to advocate for responsible landlord practices, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts to ensure the timely completion of the road project and alleviate the burdens on residents.
