Football lovers commend NFF over new Jersey for national team

Football fans in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area have commended the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for rebranding the sport kits for the Nigerian national team, Super Eagles.

NFF has announced that the super eagles will launch their new Nike jersey in October, 2020.

The body disclosed that it is collating people’s observation and comments to perfect the designs while the producer of the Jersey is briefed with the details of preferences of the NFF.

The kit sponsor, Nike, said the new kit is hand drawn designs fuses with traditional aesthetic of an agbada robe with modern football designs. 

Commenting on the new Jersey, Diadem Stallions FC goalkeeper, Taiwo Agbaje, said it is a good initiative on the part of the NFF, stating that the new jersey would bring greatness to the national team.

He added that the sale of the new jersey would bring more revenue to the purse of the NFF to run its administrative functions.

Wasiu Olamilekan said: “I can’t wait for the new jersey to be launched in October and I wish it brings glitz and glamour to the national team. This is a good step in the right direction that the NFF has taken under the leadership of Amaju Pinnick.”

Afeez Popoola said: “The new jersey is of no significance if we do not improve our players. It is good anyway, we must not be static, there must be change always.”
