… Warns Nigerians To Disregard it

The Federal Government has warned the general public to do away with a fake website purporting to be that of the Ministry of Finance and registering Nigerians for palliatives for the proposed fuel subsidy removal.

In a statement signed by the Special Adviser, Digital Communications Office of the Minister Ministry of Finance, Budget & National Planning, Nigeria, the Ministry denied issuing out such website for people to register for palliative saying some mischievous elements are behind the website to defraud unsuspected innocent Nigerians.

The statement read: “It has come to our attention that a website purporting to be that of the Nigerian Ministry of Finance, is registering Nigerians on a fuel subsidy removal palliative. THIS IS A SCAM! The general public should disregard and/or report any interactions with the individuals behind the websites for further action. We strongly condemn these scammers and call on Nigerians to be extra careful and vigilant. Please verify any information that reaches you by checking our social media handles @finminnigeria and/or website https://finance.gov.ng.”
