Excelsior Coach Marvel At Tolu Arokodare Brilliance

Excelsior coach, Ruben den Uil has been thrown into amazement of the characteristics of Nigeria forward, Tolu Arokodare.

Arokodare has savored his success this season after sealing a point for the Ajax with a goal in the 2-2 draw against Excelsior at the Johan Cruijff ArenA, Amsterdam on Saturday night.

Missing the last two games for the Dutch giant through illness, he made an appearance from the bench and found the back of the net in the 64th minute to ease a point for his side.

Uil acknowledged the better squad quality Ajax possess while encouraging his team for standing tall against a fierce opponent.

“The difference in strength today was, of course, considerable. If you also see what kind of players Ajax has, then it must also be a bit easy. We fought like lions,” Uil said at the post-match interview.

He describes Arokodare as a cheat code who’s incredibly talented with an enviable height and a prolific goal scorer.

“When you see this Ajax, Tolu, that’s almost fraud for the competition. He is so strong and so long a cheat code. That is not normal. Even if you get a ten in the deck for the goal, then this man will still come above you.”

The Excelsior gaffer said it’s an honor for his team to get a point off Ajax considering the quality of players at their disposal.

“They have a few incredibly good players. Also for the Eredivisie, that is unprecedented. It’s really a very handsome achievement of ours and then you also need the luck that a ball doesn’t go in.”

Arokodare is enjoying a brilliant start to his debut season in the Eredivisie and has netted six goals and two assists in nine appearances this season.

Ajax sit on the fifth position on tbe Eredivisie with 14 points from seven matches and trail League leaders AZ Alkmaar (19 points) with five points.

The return of Arokodare will inspire De Amsterdammers in their next game against NEC on Saturday, October 10 at the Johan Cruijff ArenA, Amsterdam.
