Ejigbo Arabic institute alumni solicit financial help for ailing member

The Old Students of Ma’ad Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Ejigbo have appealed to the general public for financial support for the cancer treatment of one of their members, AbdulFatai Afolayan Garba.

Garba, a graduate of Damascus University, Syria, was diagnosed with colorectal cancer which has been threatening his life and requires surgical operation as permanent solution.

A 2.5 million naira is said to be needed for the surgery and the 9 period of chemotherapy. The surgery is to hold at Sparklight Hospital, Palm Avenue, Mushin, Lagos.

A statement by the alumni reads:

He and the entire old students of Ma’ad need your help because of the amount involved.

If 5000 people give 500 naira each, we will make it and he will live a normal life again. Some donations have come in but we are way off target.

He has been scheduled to have the surgery in less than a month from now, that is August, 2018, only if we can raise the money.
