He said the issue should be addressed calmly to avoid causing more disruption to the peace of the nation.
He made the call following the destruction of public and private properties by some unidentified residents, advising that the destruction would not proffer solution but increase their predicament.
Egunjobi further urged the residents to be calm and await the Supreme Court’s judgement on the state of the nation.
“I sympathize with you all and entire Nigerians over the inconveniences you are all facing on the Naira redesign/currency swap policy, which has brought untold hardship on residents.
“We should all note the fact that public disturbance and destruction of public properties is never the solution.  The properties you destroyed, including banks and public facilities, are meant for the good use of the general public; and the same public will suffer the loss.
“I, therefore, urge parents and guardians to admonish their children/wards to refrain from such act, or being used by the enemy of the state who is behind the scene targeting unsuspecting members of the public, particularly, the youths to achieve their evil agenda of the destruction of our dear Lagos State.”
He said the destructive action can cause anarchy in the land as it can truncate the hard-earned democracy Nigeria leaders fought for.
