The family of late former Chief of Staff, General Oladipo Diya is yet to open a condolence register at his Odogbolu residence in Ogun State.

Our correspondent who visited the place did not see a single sympathiser at the place.

Diya’s death was announced early Saturday but as at the time of filing this story, his Odogbolu’s home was still under lock and keys.

There were a few journalists at the place but there was no single family member available to talk about Diya’s demise.

The security guard of the house, who spoke to newsmen, said no one was at home and any information needed could only be gotten at the late General’s residence in Ikeja, Lagos.

Diya was born on April 3, 1944 in Odogbolu, Ogun.

He was the Military Governor of Ogun from January 1984 to August 1985. He later rose to become the Chief of Army Staff in the regime of the late General Sani Abacha.
