Desmond Elliot Resurfaces on Movie Set After Losing APC Ticket
Lawmaker representing Surulere Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Desmond Elliot, appears to have returned to Nollywood following his defeat in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The actor-turned-politician was recently spotted on a movie set alongside fellow Nollywood star Ibrahim Chatta, sparking reactions from fans on social media.
Photos circulating online showed Elliot and Chatta in conversation during what appeared to be the filming of a new movie project.
The development has generated excitement among movie lovers, with many expressing delight at seeing the former actor back in front of the camera after spending years in active politics.
Elliot, a three-term member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, recently lost the APC primary election for Surulere Constituency I.
He was defeated by Barakat Odunuga-Bakare, who secured an overwhelming majority of votes to emerge as the party’s candidate for the 2027 general elections.
Although Elliot has yet to publicly comment on his return to acting, his appearance on a movie set has fuelled speculation that he may be balancing his political career with a renewed focus on Nollywood.
