The founder and convener of the Community Role Model awards Olayemi Balogun popularly known as Big Barlow said the reason that brought about the initiative if the award is to celebrate high flying youths in various sectors.
Big Barlow noted that the awards started 4 years ago with focus on sport, education, entertainment, fashion, next rated, rookie, entrepreneurship and humanitarian young personalities.
“My motivation towards organizing CRM awards is to celebrate youths flying high in Nigeria and positively impacting the country.
“Community Role Model awards started 4 years ago, with focus on youths from Oshodi local government and in sectors like education entertainment, humanitarian, sport, fashion, entrepreneurship, next rated and rookie of the year.
“As the year goes, we are been known beyond Oshodi and we decided to include vibrant youths from other local governments and also created a new category called Best Young Mentors of the year to replace Next Rated/Best Fashion Designer of the year.”
