CDC rejoices with council chair over APC’s success, pledges support

The Community Development Committee (CDC), Oshdi-Isolo LG, has rejoiced with the council chairman, Otunba Kehinde Oloyede over the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the just concluded elections.

The party won the governorship, House of Representatives, and State House of Assembly elections in the council area.

The committee pledged to continue to support the party and the chairman for the progress and further development of the council area.

Led by its chairman, Alhaji Adisa Olawoyin, the committee thanked the council chairman for providing the enabling environment for the CDC to thrive and participate actively in the last elections.

Olawoyin assured the council chairman that the CDC will continue to support him in his drive to bring development to the local government.

“We congratulate you on the election success of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the House of Assembly elections that produced Otunba Stephen Kayode Ogundipe as a lawmaker-elect to represent Oshodi-Isolo constituency 1. May God be with them and you to steer the affairs of the council to more prosperous heights.”

While appreciating the CDC’s gesture and its unceasing support for his administration, Oloyede promised that more dividends of democracy will be delivered to the people very soon.

He said: “I thank you for associating with our government and the overwhelming support we received from you at the polls. Your support for our administration will not go in vain, we will strive more to deliver more dividends of democracy to our people.”

Oloyede, who held a victory party in honour of the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who won a second term in office, said the party was also held in honour of the MHR representing Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency 1 at the Federal House of Representatives, Dr. Bashir Dawudo and the Lagos State House of Assembly member-elect, Ogundipe.

He thanked the residents for the overwhelming support the APC received at the polls, saying without the residents’ and party members’ support, the election would not have been won by APC.

The council boss assured the residents of synergy between him and the legislators-elect in bringing development to the people of the council.

He said: “It was a tough battle but we thank God we won. Without your support, we won’t have pulled through victoriously. I thank you all for your support.I thank the security outfit for the peaceful atmosphere, before, during and after the elections. The youth, I thank you very much,  you are the strongholds of our success, and we thank you for the support. I thank MC Oluomo for standing with us all through the process. I thank the party chairman for his steadfastness. I thank the Chief of staff for the support, I thank the ES for the support, leader of the house and councillor of Mafoluku ward Kazeem Ogunoloko, for the first time we won Mafoluku in this election. Congratulations to our MHR and the Assembly member-elect, I want to assure you that the synergy between us will continue. We will continue to move on together at ensuring even greater development for our local government.”

Ogundipe, in his thank you message to the people assured them that he will work along with the local government chairman for the development of the council as they will both work to bring more dividends of democracy to the people.
