Omecharafancha Global Limited is recruiting an Experienced Cargo Van Driver to join its team in Lagos, offering an opportunity for a responsible and skilled driver to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
The company is looking for a professional who can safely transport goods, meet delivery schedules and maintain high standards of customer service while representing the company on the road.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving company cargo vans safely and efficiently, ensuring goods are properly handled and delivered to customers and designated locations. The role will also involve carrying out daily vehicle inspections, maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle and reporting any faults or maintenance issues.
Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Proven experience in logistics or transport industry, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Excellent knowledge of Lagos roads, routes and traffic patterns.
- A valid Nigerian driver’s licence.
- Experience driving cargo vans or similar commercial vehicles is an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet delivery deadlines.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
- A safety-conscious approach to driving and vehicle handling.
- Strong work ethic, honesty and reliability.
- Must reside in Surulere or nearby areas.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be expected to:
- Drive company cargo vans safely and efficiently.
- Pick up and deliver goods as assigned.
- Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report faults promptly.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the assigned vehicle.
- Follow company policies, traffic regulations and safety procedures.
- Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers and management.
- Assist with loading and offloading when necessary.
The position is full-time, with working hours potentially varying according to delivery schedules. Early-morning, late-evening and long-distance trips may occasionally be required.
