Cardi B Speaks Out as Rumours of Romance With Maduka Okoye Grow

American rapper Cardi B has responded to growing speculation about her relationship with Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, saying she is constantly subjected to public scrutiny over her personal life.
The Grammy-winning rapper made the remarks in a video circulating online after recent public appearances with the Nigerian footballer fuelled rumours that the pair are romantically involved.
The speculation intensified after Cardi B and Okoye were seen having dinner with friends at Gio’s Restaurant inside the St. Regis Hotel in Venice. They had also been spotted together during Paris Fashion Week, prompting widespread discussion on social media.
Reacting to the attention, Cardi B said she believes her private life receives far more public interest than that of many other celebrities.
“No cap, I’m really hip hop’s Britney Spears. I got all the tea on these celebrities. I know who’s with who and what’s doing what. But guess what? Nobody reports about it because nobody cares.
“But when it comes to me, I can’t even do anything without people talking about it. This is crazy. You’ve got to take the good with the bad. It is what it is. People pay for this type of talk,” she said.
Despite the speculation, neither Cardi B nor Okoye has confirmed that they are in a romantic relationship.
The pair’s recent outings, however, have continued to generate conversations among fans, with many closely watching for any official confirmation from either of them.
