Call for Applications: Skill RESET Nigeria Opens Free Digital Skills Training for 2026

Nigerians seeking to acquire in-demand digital and artificial intelligence (AI) skills can now apply for the 2026 Skill RESET Nigeria programme.

The programme, an initiative of the Seyi Makinde Foundation and powered by digital learning platform Learnploy, is designed to equip Nigerians with practical skills, improve employability and prepare participants for opportunities in the growing digital economy.

With a long-term ambition of reaching one million Nigerians, Skill RESET Nigeria aims to make digital education and career development more accessible through structured training, practical projects and nationwide learning hubs.

Applications for the first cohort opened on October 25, 2026, with interested candidates expected to submit their applications before the November 8, 2026 deadline.

The training is completely free for successful applicants, and participants can choose between flexible online learning and guided training sessions at designated state hubs.

Available Digital Skills Training Tracks

Applicants can select from six practical training areas based on their interests, career ambitions or business needs.

The available tracks include:

1. Digital Skills and Workplace Productivity: Participants will learn how to use digital tools for document creation, spreadsheets, workflow management and everyday workplace tasks.

2. Data Analysis with AI: This track introduces learners to data cleaning, analysis and dashboard development using AI-supported tools.

3. AI Tools and Automation: Participants will explore artificial intelligence tools and learn how to develop automated workflows that improve productivity.

4. Digital Marketing for Business: This training focuses on digital marketing strategies, campaign development and using online platforms to promote products and services.

5. Content Creation with AI: Learners will develop content creation skills and explore AI-powered tools for producing digital content and building professional portfolios.

6. Sales and Customer Experience: Participants will learn practical approaches to attracting customers, improving customer relationships and strengthening business performance.

The programme is open to Nigerians living in any of the 36 states or the Federal Capital Territory.

• Applicants must be resident in Nigeria.

• Applicants must complete the programme’s eligibility screening.

• No previous technical or digital skills experience is required for beginner-level courses.

• Participants must have access to a suitable learning device, such as a smartphone, tablet or laptop.

• Applicants choosing online learning must have internet access.

Individuals without personal laptops can still apply, as the programme allows participants to learn using smartphones and tablets. Device assistance may also be available to selected applicants, subject to funding.
