Breaking: Pastor T.B. Joshua Is dead

Popular and Influential Preacher, Temitope Joshua fondly known as “Prophet TB Joshua” by his followers, reportedly passed away in Lagos on Saturday evening, shortly after concluding a programme at his church.

There is no certified cause of death as at the time of filing this report.

The famed televangelist and philanthropist, who was born on June 12, 1963, was the leader and founder of The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN), from the 1990s, which also runs the Emmanuel TV television station from Lagos.

His globally viewed Christian ministry which ranked an unprecedented over 1 million views on YouTube was in April this year, also yanked off the platform, over allegations of hate speech.

A rights body had filed a complaint after videos showed the preacher conducting rather eerie prayers, like “curing gay people” and slapping a woman repeatedly to cast out a “demonic spirit”. He once claimed to have the cure for HIV.
