The football administrator also advised footballers to stay away from drugs because of the negative effect it has.
“Betsy Obaseki Women Football Tournament is well organized and we, Nasarawa Amazons are happy to be part of it, though we were not here for the first edition but it’s good that we are part of it.
“It’s a preseason tournament, it’s perfect and good for any team that participated in it because it will enable them know their weakness and areas to improve on.
“I’m very happy that the Say No To Drugs is attached to the Betsy Obaseki Women Football Tournament and we club managers are parents, we know the damage that drug does to anybody either male or female. This very campaign about drugs to footballers is a welcome idea because it will help shape their career positively.
“It’s very good and I advise footballers to stay away from drugs, some use it to enhance their performance but it has a very negative effect at the long run and I will advise them to stay away from it.
“Nasarawa Amazons are really picking up, we have been there before and we will get a good results, the governor of Nasarawa state is a sport loving governor and he supports us very well.
“So we will give our best in the coming season and finish well by the grace of God.”
