Badagry Traditional Ruler Gets Govt’s Approval To Establish School

The Lagos State Government has approved the establishment of Apa Secondary School in Badagry West Local Council Development Area.

The government through the Ministry of Education has also approved the enrolment of new students for the year 2023-2024 session to ensure the school commences a new term

The school, Apa Grammer School, was facilitated by HRM Oba Oyekan Adekanmi Ilufemiloye Ajose Posii III, the Alapa of Apa Kingdom who showed concern about how students from his area walked miles before they could have access to secondary education.

The king personally constructed blocks of classroom with community effort while a few indigenes and philanthropists who do not want their names disclosed also did the same.

Alapa’s passion for education and the development of the Apa community has been highly commended by residents of the area.

The residents said the approval would bring more development to the community especially in the area of education, while relieving them of the stress of getting secondary education for their children.

It was said that the new development would also reduce our of schoolchildren in the community.
