Avoid Cart Pusher, Govt Tells Residents

The Lagos state government issued a warning to residents against using cart pushers for waste collection, as it is considered illegal and a violation of environmental laws.

The warning was relayed through the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), who emphasized that both the cart pushers and those who use their services are breaking the law.

Let it be known that LAWMA, as evidenced by his verified X handle, recently shared a message stating that participating in the unlawful gathering of waste constitutes a breach of environmental regulations, and individuals who support and make use of such activities carry the same level of culpability.

“Our vigilant Monitoring and Compliance team are diligently active in the neighborhood, ensuring the enforcement of waste laws.

“Please refrain from patronizing cart pushers. Instead, embrace proper waste disposal by choosing authorized PSPs “.
