Apply Now: e-MOVE ComCashew Offers €2,000 Business Funding
Young entrepreneurs with innovative business ideas in the cashew sector can apply for the latest e-MOVE ComCashew Call for Proposals, with selected winners eligible to receive up to €2,000 in direct business funding.
The programme is inviting young and emerging agripreneurs to transform their cashew-related ideas into investment-ready and climate-smart businesses. The initiative is designed to help young entrepreneurs strengthen their business models while promoting sustainable and resilient practices across the cashew value chain.
The current submission window is open from September to October 2026, with applications closing on October 30, 2026.
What Selected Entrepreneurs Can Receive
Successful participants can receive one of several kick-start prizes, including:
- €2,000 in direct business funding
- A laptop, tablet or relevant software to support business operations
- Access to business development support and opportunities to strengthen their ventures
The programme is particularly interested in ideas capable of improving the cashew value chain while contributing to low-emission, climate-resilient and sustainable food systems.
Who Can Apply?
The opportunity is open to young and emerging agripreneurs aged 18 and above who are based in a member state of the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS).
Applicants must have an innovative agribusiness idea connected to any part of the cashew value chain. This can include production, processing, value addition, marketing, by-products and other related activities.
Participation is free, and applicants are not required to pay an entry fee or subscription charge.
Mandatory Training
Applicants must first complete the required free e-learning courses available through the e-MOVE platform.
The application process requires participants to complete Introduction to Conservation Agriculture followed by Creating an Investment-Ready Agribusiness. The second course provides the tools needed to develop the business idea for submission.
After completing the training, applicants must develop an AgriCanvas, using the Business Model Canvas template provided as part of the programme, and submit their business idea through the official application form.
Applicants will also be required to explain the climate-smart or resilience component of their project, outline how the business will generate revenue and estimate the capital needed to launch or scale the venture.
How to Apply
Interested entrepreneurs should register through atingi or the official e-MOVE platform, complete the mandatory courses and prepare their AgriCanvas before submitting their proposal through the official submission form.
Only applications submitted through the designated form and containing a valid certificate ID from the required investment-readiness course will be considered.
Successful applicants are expected to be contacted by mid-December 2026.
The e-MOVE initiative is implemented through GIZ’s MOVE-ComCashew projects, with support from the European Union, OACPS and the German Government. It seeks to help young businesses become more competitive, attract investment and build more sustainable agricultural value chains.
