Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu will on Monday inaugurate the All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos Central Campaign Headquarters on Lagos Island, as the party strengthens its political structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The facility, known as the PBAT-KOH Lagos Central Campaign Headquarters, is located at 2 Joseph Harden Street, opposite Eleganza Building, off Broad Street, Lagos Island.
According to a statement obtained on Sunday, the headquarters will serve as a central base for coordinating campaign planning, meetings and grassroots mobilisation across 5 local government areas in the Lagos Central Senatorial District.
The councils are Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, Surulere, Apapa and Eti-Osa.
The inauguration is expected to attract party leaders, political appointees and candidates contesting elective positions in the district. Lagos State Deputy Governor and APC governorship candidate, Obafemi Hamzat, is also expected to attend.
The facility is designed to coordinate political activities across the 5 councils rather than function as a campaign office for a single constituency. Its proposed responsibilities include providing a common base for party officials and campaign organisers to plan activities and engage community stakeholders.
The centre’s administrator and coordinator, Bolaji Yusuf, said the building contains 16 offices, including one designated for the governorship candidate.
According to Yusuf, the facility also has a 500-seat auditorium, 2 conference rooms, a clinic and an outdoor event space with seating for 150 people.
He said one of the conference rooms can accommodate 40 people, while the second has a capacity of 15.
The building, which was previously at the carcass stage, has been completed and prepared for use as a campaign secretariat.
Tayo Bamgbose-Martins was identified as the project’s principal financier and facilitator, while Yusuf is responsible for its administration and coordination.
The organisers describe the headquarters as the first facility of its kind on Lagos Island established specifically to coordinate campaign activities across the 5 local government areas.
Its inauguration comes as the APC continues to develop its campaign structures for the 2027 elections. The party has already constituted a state campaign council and assigned responsibilities for mobilisation and coordination across different parts of Lagos.
