Nollywood actress and filmmaker Bukola Ikuomola, popularly known as MZNicollet, has urged society to recognise women for their intelligence, achievements and contributions rather than focusing primarily on their sexuality.
Ikuomola made the remarks during a chat with *Potpourri*, where she shared her views on women who flaunt their sexuality on social media, saying she admired those who distinguished themselves through their intellect and accomplishments.
“There is more to women than sexuality. I admire women who are known for their intellect and other great achievements,” she said.
The Ondo State-born actress, who also has Urhobo roots in Warri, Delta State, said her passion for acting began at an early age, adding that she had always admired the profession.
She is a graduate of Novena University, Ogume, Delta State, and also runs Nickiscollections as its chief executive officer.
Speaking about the sacrifices she had made to build her acting career, Ikuomola said she had invested significant time, effort and the limited financial resources available to her in developing her craft.
She described working with veteran actors such as Saheed Balogun, Jobola Dabo, Ayo Mogaji and Muyiwa Ademola as some of her memorable experiences in the industry.
The actress also expressed pride in producing her first movie, *Enemy Within*.
On her preferred roles, Ikuomola said she enjoyed playing heroic characters who demonstrate strength, determination and make meaningful contributions to a story. She, however, noted that her versatility allows her to approach different characters with passion.
Looking ahead, she said her ambition was to become a megastar with an international reputation and extend her influence beyond Nollywood.
On relationships, Ikuomola said she valued respect and a good sense of humour in a man, adding that she preferred men to make the first move.
She also disclosed that she currently prioritises financial stability over love, explaining that past relationship experiences had left her feeling taken advantage of because of how much she gave to the people she loved.
“Now I go for money. And if love comes with it, I grab it too,” she said, adding that love becomes sweeter when money is involved.
