ABISIGA URGES COMMUNITY TO EMBRACE HEALTH INSURANCE

The Community Development Chairman, Isolo LCDA, Alhaji Fatai Abisiga has appealed to the community to take outright advantage of the Lagos Health Insurance Scheme which will be implemented throughout the state soon.
He made this known while educating and enlightening the community executives during the monthly Community Development Council meeting held within the council recently.
He said the Health Insurance Programme is an innovation of Lagos state to ensure every Lagosian enjoys greatly from the health sector just like they have been benefiting from other sectors “the scheme is an innovation of Lagos State Government in its all-round developmental bid to ensure the residents of the state enjoy greatly from all sectors of the state” he said.
Explaining the health insurance scheme, he said “the benefits of the programme are numerous as it is a family programme, once you meet up with the requirements of registration which is some amount of money and some documents which include your LASRRA I.D Card, the registered family members are entitled to all-year health insurance in any of the government hospitals and some selected private hospitals as well. Renewal of registration will be made at the beginning of the year to enjoy absolute health benefits all-year round” he explained.
Also, he enlightened the community on the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund {LSETF} urging them to seize the loan benefits of the programme to expand and grow their various businesses, as the programme is meant to encourage business activities throughout the state.
The requirement for the loan fund includes, LASRRA and tax registration number and a guarantor who must have the aforementioned prerequisite.
However, the plenary meeting also had the Sole Administrator Isolo LCDA, Hon. Abimbola Oshinkoya in attendance as mandated. She lauded the community executives for their commitment to the development of the community and for supporting her administration in her developmental projects. She also thanked the executives for their massive turnout at the recently celebrated community day celebration.
Lastly, Alhaji S.A Ramoni, the vice chairman of the council enlightened the fellow executives on how to opt out from receiving unwanted messages from the telecommunication service providers, an initiative of Nigeria Communication Commission NCC, in its effort to ensure the service providers do not extort the consumers cunningly.
The meeting was adjourned in the absence of issues to be discussed after reconciliation was made for two of the executives who were vying for a political slot after one had humbly and respectfully stepped down from the tussle for the other.
