He said: “While walking home on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 around some minutes past 12 at Ire-Akari Estate, a man accosted the complainant with a knife and asked him to surrender all he had on him which he did. Upon sighting the patrol van of police officer of Aswani Division who were on surveillance mission, raised an alarm which led to the apprehension of Johnson. Upon interrogation, he claimed to have thrown the phone inside the canal before he was subsequently arraigned.”
