Re-elected chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Bolaji Ariyo held his first security meeting recdntky promising the citizens that his administration will do everything within its power to protect them.
The town hall meeting, attended by the Divisional Police Officer Makinde police
station,Mr.Funsho Gabriel, the chairman, Lagos State Task Force chairman,Yinka Egbeyemi,His royal
Highness Oba kuti of Ewu land,Adeshina
Shakirudeen and other dugnitaries.
Addressing the community leaders, Muse-Ariyoh,he said the meeting will bring citizens together, allay their fears of insecurity and encouragd everyone to embrace harmony.
He added that it will give the people the opportunity to air their views and promised not to put anyone outside.
“I expect Oshodi people to be law abiding citizens,pay their
levies so as to make infrastructures available because we can not rely
on federal government allocation alone”.
Bringing promises to fulfilment in ,just three weeks in office,about nine
roads have been touched which shows that we mean business,more will
still commence as it is the major concern of the people.
The Lagos state taskforce chairman,saheed olayinka Egbeyemi applauded
the initiative,being the first of its kind at local government level
that he will experience.He also sees it as an avenue for the people to
express their feelings and happenings in their communities.
Egbeyemi advised Oshodi people to stay out of trouble,embrace peace
with legitimate work.He reminded them that the era of carrying weapons
to take over power has long passed,adding that the present government
is of zero tolerance to crime.He there for encouraged all the people
to be abide be the law.
Also soeaking at the event, Oba Adeshina Shakirudeen of Ewu Land pointed out that without peace in
the community their will not be advancement in all ramifications,such
as issue is needful for the safety of the masses.
DPO Makinde police station,Funsho Gabriel said such gathering that
concerns the safety of the people is worth attending to.
Questions were raised by the people on matters affecting them
concerning security and responses were delivered to them.
