SUBHEAD: NDLEA intercepts 34-year-old suspect at MMIA with $1.15kg of drugs hidden in underwear

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have intercepted a 34-year-old Ugandan woman, Farida Nansubuga, for allegedly attempting to traffic 1.15 kilograms of cocaine out of Nigeria.

Nansubuga, who claimed to have visited Nigeria for a religious pilgrimage, was arrested on November 3 at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, as she prepared to board a homeward-bound flight to Uganda.

During a routine outward clearance search, NDLEA officers discovered 87 wrapped parcels of cocaine cleverly concealed inside her underwear. She remains in custody as investigations continue into the illicit trafficking network.
