Ogogo’s Daughter Shares Emotional Tribute on Late Actor’s First Posthumous Birthday

Kira Taiwo, daughter of late veteran Yoruba actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has paid an emotional tribute to her father on what would have been his 67th birthday.
Kira took to Instagram on Saturday, October 31, to remember the actor, sharing a tearful video in which she appeared visibly emotional as a photograph of them together was displayed.
In the accompanying caption, she expressed how much she missed her father and prayed for his eternal rest.
“Happy heavenly birthday to my daddy. I want to hug you so badly. May Allah grant you Al-Jannah Firdaus. Ameen. I love you forever Taiyelolu mi… Agunloye bi oyinbo agunleyinju oko ayaba, omo Iya ala Abogunloko maberu ija. OGOGO OMO KULODO,” she wrote.
Her post attracted reactions from fans and colleagues, many of whom joined her in praying for the repose of the late actor.
Ogogo, born on October 31, 1959, in Ilaro, Ogun State, died on August 23, 2026, at the age of 66 after battling stage-four cancer.
He was buried the following day in his hometown in accordance with Islamic rites.
The actor was one of the prominent figures in Yoruba Nollywood, with a career spanning more than four decades.
