SMEDAN Opens Applications for Business, AI and Digital Innovation Trainers
The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) has opened applications for experienced professionals interested in serving as trainers and facilitators under its Start-up Digital Innovation Academy at the Abuja Centre for Entrepreneurship (ACE).
The opportunity targets qualified professionals with expertise in Business Management, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Innovation who are willing to contribute to entrepreneurship development, youth empowerment and technology-driven business growth in Nigeria.
Implemented with support from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the initiative is designed to strengthen Nigeria’s startup ecosystem by equipping aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners with practical knowledge, professional guidance and relevant digital skills.
The recruitment falls under Stream 2 – Training of Trainers, which seeks to engage experienced industry professionals to support the academy’s training and capacity-building activities.
Selected trainers and facilitators will contribute to professional development courses, sharing their industry knowledge and practical experience with individuals seeking to establish, manage and grow businesses.
Areas of Expertise
SMEDAN is inviting applications from professionals with experience in the following areas:
1. Business Management (BM)
Professionals with expertise in business management and related disciplines are encouraged to apply. Applicants should have practical industry experience and the ability to deliver training that strengthens entrepreneurship, business development and management capabilities.
2. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Innovation

Eligibility Requirements

Have a minimum of five years of practical professional experience in their respective fields.
Be residents of Abuja, Nigeria.
Demonstrate a proven track record in training, facilitation or mentoring.
Possess strong communication and presentation skills.
