Exclusive: Uroko Relishes First Super Falcons Invitation

Nigeria defender, Valentina Uroko has expressed her excitement after receiving her first invitation to the women’s national team, describing the call up as a dream come true.

The midfielder said she was overwhelmed with emotions when she received the news and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to represent Nigeria.

Speaking to ECHONEWS exclusively, Uroko said she was initially speechless, having long dreamed of earning a place in the Super Falcons squad.

“First of all, when I received the call, I was speechless, because they have been my dream, as my dream come true, so I thank God for it,” she said.

The new invitee is now looking forward to making the most of the opportunity as she seeks to impress the coaching crew and establish herself within the squad.

Uroko stated, she was determined to remain focused, work hard and maintain a positive attitude while learning from her more experienced teammates.

“Well, I just have to focus, work hard, stay positive, learn more, and bring my best to help the team to win.”

Uroko played a major role in helping Edo Queens win the 2025/26 NWFL Premiership title in Port Harcourt.
