Akinola Sunday Set Emerge Champions Of Peace Cup

Akinola Sunday Set have emerged champions of the sixth edition of the Peace Cup competition at Iyana Ipaja after defeating Kukushaw FC by a lone goal.
The competition produced a mouthwatering number of spectators as locals, football enthusiasts, and fans trooped in to watch the glamorous final of the grassroots tournament.
Akinola Sunday Set dominated proceedings in the first half and scored the winning goal in the second half. Kukushaw however pressured the defense of Akinola Sunday and in the second half and almost got an equalizer but saw their efforts going off the goal post.
Founder of Peace Cup, Doctor Kolade Ibrahim (Kollyko) said he’s excited over the success of the tournament over the years which has brought enormous followership.
Kollyko noted that Peace Cup have been an impactful competition to the community while exposing the youngsters to prospective professional club sides who were on ground to scout for the best legs.
He further appreciated the brands that supported the tournament while also hailing fans who dedicated their time to show support to the competition.
He however assured that subsequent editions would be bigger and expanded to accommodate more teams.
Akinola Sunday Set went home with one million naira as the winners while Kukushaw FC who came second were rewarded with five hundred thousand naira by the organizers of the Peace Cup.
