High-Scoring Results Light Up SJ OdiOlowo Chairman’s Cup Matchday Seven

Matchday seven of the SJ OdiOlowo Chairman’s Cup delivered goals by the dozen across multiple age groups and the women’s category, with several teams posting emphatic victories at the Jide Sanwo-Olu Arena, Ilupeju, OdiOlowo Ojuwoye LCDA.
A record 43 goals were scored in matchday seven which proves to be the highest number of goals scored so far in a single day of the SJ OCC tournament.
In the women’s competition, Ghetto Tigers Ladies produced the standout performance of the round, thrashing Better Tomorrow 7-0. The clinical display underlines the Tigers’ attacking strength as they continue to set a high standard in the tournament.
The U8 category saw two contrasting results. Strong Dove ran riot against Adeola FA, winning 9-2 in a free-scoring encounter that showcased their dominance. FC Phoenix also claimed three points in the same age group, overcoming HB Utility 3-1 away from home.
Higher up the age ladder, Ajibade FA were ruthless in the U13 section, blanking Monak FA 6-0. Action Lion FA matched the high-scoring theme in the U15 category, dismantling Future Stars SA 7-1.
In the U19 fixture, HOP FA edged a lively contest against FC Phoenix, finishing 5-2 winners. Phoenix suffered a mixed day overall, collecting a win in the U8s but falling short against the older HOP side.
The round highlighted the competitive depth and attacking quality across the Chairman’s Cup, with several sides posting double-digit goal tallies in single matches. Attention now turns to matchday eight as teams look to build on these results.
