Cristiano Ronaldo mother, Maria Dolores, has delivered an emotional public message celebrating her son’s record breaking journey and legacy at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
In a video message widely shared by FIFA and across social media, Dolores expressed deep pride in Ronaldo’s achievements while appearing at his sixth World Cup as she appreciated fans for their committed support.
“I am so proud that my son continues to make history. I want to thank all the fans who have always stood by you. You give so much to the world,” she said.
“A kiss for you, my son. Your mom will always be by your side. I also want to thank everyone for the respect they show him.”
Dolores further lauded the support and encouragement of Portuguese fans.
“Thank you to all the Portuguese fans. I send you my kisses. Football will always be in my heart, and in everyone’s.”
The message comes as the 41-year-old Ronaldo, Portugal’s captain and all-time leading scorer, competes at what many believe could be his final World Cup.
Dolores has long been a pillar of strength in her son’s life, famously supporting him through humble beginnings in Madeira and his rise to global superstardom.
