Lukman Orelope, Ganiyu Ayuba Lead APC Consensus List in Alimosho
Luqman Olatunji Orelope and Ganiyu Adele Ayuba have emerged as the leading consensus candidates of the All Progressives Congress in Alimosho Federal Constituency, following a wide-ranging agreement among party stakeholders ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Orelope was adopted as the party’s candidate for Alimosho Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, while Ayuba secured the consensus ticket for the House of Representatives seat, in what party leaders described as a strategic move to strengthen unity and electoral competitiveness in the area.

The decision followed extensive consultations involving party leaders, grassroots stakeholders, and political influencers within the constituency, aimed at presenting a united front ahead of the polls.
Party leaders said the consensus arrangement reflects confidence in both candidates’ grassroots structures, political experience, and capacity to deliver effective representation at both state and national levels.
The process received backing from key stakeholders, including prominent APC leaders in Lagos State, who described the development as a step toward reducing internal divisions and consolidating support for the party.

The adoption meeting was widely attended by political office holders and grassroots representatives, including all six Local Government and Local Council Development Area chairmen in Alimosho, alongside 36 councillors and a large number of party faithful.
Stakeholders at the meeting noted that the consensus approach would enhance coordination, improve mobilisation efforts, and strengthen the party’s chances in the 2027 elections, particularly in support of the party’s broader political agenda.
They also reaffirmed their commitment to unity, continuity, and development across Alimosho Federal Constituency, expressing optimism that the consensus ticket would deliver electoral success for the party.
