Davido Announces Upcoming Project with Chris Brown

Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has confirmed that he is working on a joint album with American R&B singer Chris Brown, with the project expected to be released next year.

Speaking during a recent episode of the Swift Conversations podcast, Davido revealed that while his current sound is becoming more rooted in African influences, he remains open to international collaborations.

“The music I am making now is very African. In this next project, I am working with a lot of my original producers from back home,” he said, adding, “Me and Chris Brown got an album coming next year.”

The announcement builds on a long-standing musical relationship between both artists, which dates back to their 2019 hit song Blow My Mind. Since then, the duo have teamed up on multiple tracks and have repeatedly hinted at a full-length collaborative project.

Davido also noted that they have recorded several unreleased songs over the years, raising anticipation among fans ahead of the album’s release.
