Eti-Osa Launches Free School Meal Pack Programme for Primary Pupils
The Executive Chairman of Eti-Osa Local Government, Omo’ba (Dr.) Adeola Alimot Adetoro has officially launched the Continuous Free School Meal Pack Initiative across all public primary schools in the council.
This development is a bold move to enhance the welfare and learning experience of children. The programme, designed as an ongoing effort, aims to consistently provide nutritious meals to pupils, boosting concentration, academic performance, and overall well-being.
It forms part of Chairman Adetoro’s broader vision to create a healthy and supportive learning environment for every child in Eti-Osa.
Speaking at the launch, Omo’ba (Dr.) Adetoro highlighted the link between nutrition and learning outcomes. “When our children are well-fed, they are more focused, confident, and prepared to learn. This is not a one-time event; it is a continuous commitment to our children and their future,” she said.
During the event, the Chairman warmly engaged with pupils and teachers, reaffirming that her administration will continue to prioritise education and child welfare. She also encouraged parents, school authorities, and community stakeholders to support the programme to ensure its long-term sustainability.
The initiative embodies the council’s people-centred governance approach, placing children’s needs at the forefront while building a healthier, stronger Eti-Osa for future generations.
