Tiwa Savage on Dating: ‘Only One Relationship Was Truly Good’

Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage has spoken candidly about her dating experiences, revealing that she has had just one truly good relationship and that her partner has since passed away.
In an emotional interview with media personality Korty EO, the 45-year-old singer reflected on her romantic life, admitting that, apart from her late partner, her relationships have largely been painful.
“There is hardly any relationship I would look back at and see anything positive,” Savage said. “They are all terrible. Actually, there is one, but he passed away. May his soul rest in peace. He was incredible.”
The award-winning artist said her personal experiences have shaped how she raises her son, explaining that she regularly advises him to treat women with respect because of what she endured in unhealthy relationships.
Savage was previously married to music executive Tunji Balogun, widely known as Tee Billz. The couple married in 2013 and divorced in 2018. They share a son, Jamil.
Her remarks have resonated with fans, many of whom praised her honesty and vulnerability in speaking openly about love, grief and personal growth.
