Hon. Sanni Okanlawon Mourns Passing of APC Stalwart, Mrs. Adetoun Edu

Hon. Sanni Ganiyu Babatunde Okanlawon, Member representing Kosofe Constituency 01 at the Lagos State House of Assembly and Chairman, House Committee on Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Mrs. Adetoun Edu, a committed member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kosofe Chapter.

In a condolence message made available to the press, Hon. Okanlawon described the late Mrs. Edu as a devoted party loyalist, grassroots mobiliser, and compassionate community advocate whose contributions to political organisation and social support, particularly for widows and vulnerable groups, left an enduring imprint on Kosofe.

According to the lawmaker, Mrs. Edu’s death is a significant loss not only to the APC family in Kosofe but also to the wider community that benefitted from her selfless service, humility, and unwavering dedication to grassroots development.

“Mrs. Adetoun Edu was widely respected for her loyalty to the party, her commitment to community mobilisation, and her genuine concern for the welfare of others. Her life of service and compassion will not be forgotten,” Hon. Okanlawon stated.

He noted that her legacy of dedication, sacrifice, and people-oriented service would continue to inspire party members and community leaders within the constituency and beyond.

Hon. Okanlawon extended his heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and political associates of the deceased, praying that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgives her shortcomings, grants her Al-Jannah Firdaus, and bestows strength and comfort upon her loved ones to bear the irreparable loss.
