Court Sentences Eight Men To Jail For Phone Theft

The Bolade Mobile Court in Oshodi, Lagos, has sentenced eight men to jail for stealing phones in Mile 2 area of the state.
The convicts were said to have snatched phones from pedestrians in the area pleaded guilty to the crime and were subsequently sentenced to six months in jail.
The lawbreakers: Anthony Osinachi, 21, Victor Onuoha of age 45, Rowland Ede 25, Daniel Chisom, 24, Emmanuel Chukwu, 35, Ogbonanya Uchechi, 18, Godday Eke, 28, and another simply identified as Benjamin, 30, were arrested during a morning raid by officers of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps, LAGESC.
The court, on Wednesday, warned residents in the state shun all forms of criminality, disclosing that necessary sanctions await offenders.
