500 Widows Smile Again as Hon. Adewale Extends Lifeline in Ifako-Ijaiye

In a heartfelt show of compassion, Hon. Adewale Temitope Adedeji, OON, the lawmaker representing Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 01 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, has once again reached out to widows in his community. Through his Widows Empowerment Initiative, now in its fifth edition, he empowered 500 widows with food items and cash gifts to help ease their daily struggles and improve their livelihoods.
The event, held on Monday, November 10, 2025, at The Unity Centre, Ifako-Ijaiye, brought together widows from various communities across the constituency. Many of them could not hold back tears of joy as they received the support, describing it as timely and deeply impactful.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Adewale said the gesture reflects his ongoing commitment to social welfare and his passion for uplifting vulnerable groups in society. He reaffirmed his dedication to ensuring that no one in his constituency is left behind.
Community and political leaders at the event praised Hon. Adewale for his consistency in supporting widows and other less privileged groups. They noted that his people-oriented approach to governance has strengthened trust and unity within the constituency.
Those in attendance included Hon. Adebo Kayode Samuel, Leader of Ifako-Ijaiye Legislative Council; Deacon Banjo Omole, Chairman of APC Ifako-Ijaiye LG; Prince Mathew Gbolahan Ogundimu, Oba-elect of Iju Ogundimu Kingdom; Hon. Rotimi Adeleye, Secretary of Ifako-Ijaiye Stakeholders; Pastor Samuel Opajobi, CDC Chairman; and Engr. Jacob Dada, leader of Ajumose Cooperative Society, among several others.
