Man Denies Wife on Stage to Kiss Tems at Afro Punk Festival in Brazil

A man went viral over the weekend after he reportedly denied his wife on stage in order to kiss Nigerian singer Tems during her performance at the Afro Punk Festival in Brazil.
Videos from the incident show Tems attempting to respect the man’s marital status, telling him: “I know your wife is here and I need to respect her.” Despite this, the man denied being married, even though a woman, believed to be his wife, was standing behind him. He then kissed Tems’ hand, prompting screams and excitement from the crowd.
The incident has reignited debates over Afrobeats artists interacting with fans’ partners during concerts.
