Alimosho Council Launches Drainage Desilting to Curb Flooding

The Chairman of Alimosho Local Government, Hon. Akinpelu Ibrahim Johnson, has launched a large-scale desilting and clearing operation across the council area to ensure free flow of rainwater and prevent flooding.
The exercise, which covers major gutters, canals, and waterways, is aimed at mitigating environmental hazards and improving sanitation across communities within Alimosho.
According to the council, the initiative underscores the administration’s commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for residents, especially as the rainy season continues.
The council’s Media Office described the project as part of ongoing efforts to promote sustainable urban living under the slogan, “Greater Alimosho Rising.”
