Johnson Pledges Stronger Sports Initiatives at Alimosho All Stars Finals

The Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government, Hon. Akinpelu Ibrahim Johnson, and Vice Chairman, Hon. Francis Adebisi Atoyebi, attended the second edition of the All Stars Sports Competition at Pako Field.
The tournament, which featured players drawn from various clubs and retired athletes, culminated in a thrilling final between defending champions Akinola All Stars and Golden Talent FC. Declaring the finals open, Hon. Johnson commended the organisers, describing the initiative as a sign of hope for Nigeria’s youth.
“I am delighted to see this happening, as it shows that the future of our country is bright. The large turnout today speaks volumes. As a government, you can count on us to support you and all youth-driven initiatives,” he said.
The Chairman reaffirmed the council’s commitment to sports and youth development, promising more programmes to engage young people across Alimosho. He also encouraged the inclusion of additional sporting disciplines in future editions.
Alongside the event, Hon. Johnson and his team promoted the ongoing INEC voter registration drive, urging residents to take advantage of the opportunity.
At the end of the tournament, Golden Talent FC emerged champions after defeating Akinola All Stars. Hon. Johnson charged the organisers to sustain the competition, noting Pako Field’s reputation for quality sporting events.
