IKD Football League: Awoniyi FA Defeats Sportelectual FC

Awoniyi FA took their brainstorming form to the next level with an emphatic 1-0 win against Sportelectual FC at Ogijo Community School pitch.

Kareem Fathiu splendid strike separated both sides following a highly competed encounter.

Awoniyi FA started the game dominantly with their string of passes while creating numerous chances in the process.

Awoniyi FA had series of chances not converted in the first 45 minutes which gave way for their opponents to get their balance in the game.

The absence of striker and the highest goal scorer of the IKD Football League, Hameen Awoniyi was greatly felt by Awoniyi FA as they find it difficult to convert clear cut chances.

Sportelectual FC started the second half as the brighter side while Awoniyi FA stood firm not to concede a goal.

Awoniyi FA moment of breakthrough came in the 82nd minute as the individualism brilliance of Fathiu came to play when he dazzled his way to score from the edge of the box after receiving a pass from Oluwaseyi Iyanda.

Awoniyi FA will take on Amuludun FC in their next game on June 26 at Ogijo Community School.
