OdiOlowo Chairman’s Cup: N5.5million Naira Up For Grabs

The fifth edition of the OdiOlowo Chairman’s Cup promises to be an exciting tournament which has lived up to expectations over the years.

Chairman of OdiOlowo Ojuwoye LCDA, Mr Rasaq Ajala revealed that this year’s edition will be with an improved bumper package of N5.5million naira for the winners which also includes appearance fees for all the participating clubs.

He also disclosed that this year’s edition will be played under the OdiOlowo Ojuwoye LCDA recently built mini stadium which he promised will come into existence at the previous edition.

Seyi Jakande, Vice chairman and APC chairmanship candidate of OdiOlowo Ojuwoye LCDA in the next Lagos State Local Government Elections also threw his endorsement of continuity of the competition when elected into office.

50 clubs drawn from different local governments in Lagos state will participate in the five categories of the OdiOlowo Chairman’s Cup where winners will emerge in September.

Coordinator of the Chairman’s Cup, Azeez Mustapha said the OdiOlowo Chairman’s Cup is the one of continuity where 50 clubs and 700 players will compete for honors.

He added, the purpose of the competition is to engage the kids during the long holidays which has worked over the years.

Mustapha stated that residents, fans are also engaged, thereby bringing out a viable and community followed OdiOlowo Chairman’s Cup which hasn’t derailed from its core perspectives since inception.
