In a significant move to upgrade public education infrastructure, Oshodi-Isolo local government has begun the roofing phase of the newly constructed St. Paul Primary School building in Mafoluku Ward. This development demonstrates the council chairman’s dedication to providing modern and conducive learning environments for students in the community.

The two-storey building project, the first of its kind in the local government’s history, showcases the chairman’s commitment to educational transformation within Oshodi-Isolo. Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede had previously pledged to deliver a school meeting the highest standards – one where he would be confident enrolling his own children. With the roofing phase nearing completion, that promise is steadily becoming a reality.

Residents have expressed their appreciation for the council chairman’s efforts to improve education in the area. Mr. Stanley Dennis, a parent and local resident, commended the chairman’s dedication, reflecting the community’s enthusiasm for the project and the positive impact it will have on the lives of students and families in Oshodi-Isolo.

He said, “Two of my children attend this school. One is in Primary 3, the other in Primary 1. I have been closely watching the progress of the building, and I must say, I am very impressed. Whenever I dropped them off in the past, it saddened me to see the dilapidated condition of the former structure, which I heard was built over 60 years ago.

With this new massive structure taking shape, I feel reassured that my children will soon learn in a modern and safe environment. The chairman has done tremendously well. May God continue to bless him and his family for this bold and visionary step.”

The new building is expected to feature modern classrooms, improved sanitation facilities, administrative offices, computer room and learning resources tailored to 21st-century education standards. The initiative is part of a broader effort by the Oloyede-led administration to prioritize education and human capital development within the local government.
