Lagos State League: SGH Sports Academy Thrash Ighalo FA

SGH Sports Academy secured their first win in the Lagos State League with an emphatic 2-0 win against Ighalo FA.

Anu Adekalu and Ayo Oshinjirin scored the goals for SGH Sports Academy in the 50th, 81st minutes.

The tournament which is the brainchild of the Lagos FA took off with great display of artistry from both sides in the first 45 minutes.

Despite series of threats, no goals were recorded in the first half which produced fantastic individual performances from SGH Sports Academy.

Five minutes into the second half, Adekalu broke the deadlock for SGH Sports Academy with a swift finish that stunned Ighalo FA.

The lead from SGH Sports Academy brought out an electric display as both sides edged closer to putting the ball at the back of the net.

Nine minutes to the end of regulation time, Oshinjirin doubled SGH Sports Academy lead with a terrific strike hitting the back of the net.

SGH Sports Academy sealed their first win in the 2025 Lagos State League with an inspiring performance and they will face Arubinjaga FA in their next encounter on Wednesday, April 23 at Eleja primary school pitch, Igbogbo, Ikorodu.
