Ejigbo Monarch, Ojoola, SLG Fregene Endorse Constituency Forum Award

The Ojon of Ejigboland in Ejigbo Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, HRM Morufu Adekunle Ojoola, and the Secretary to the LCDA Hon. Paul Fregene have thrown their weight behind the forthcoming 2024 Constituency Forum Award and Gala Night.

It would be recalled that the Constituency Forum Award is an annual event organized by the constituents of Oshodi/Isolo constituency 2 to celebrate excellence and achievements of innovators and philanthropists in the two local councils ( Ejigbo and Isolo).

Welcoming the Contact Committee to his palace in Ejigbo, Oba Ojoola said he is in support of the award event, adding that it would further project the community to the world.

Ojoola noted that with such event, Lagosians would know there are resourceful personalities in the Council area who have contributed immensely to the development of mankind and humanity.

He urged the Committee to be more inclusive by bringing in Awori youths into its folds, saying that it would promote unity and cohesion.

In a related development, the Contact Committee members also paid a courtesy visit to the Secretariat of Ejigbo LCDA at NNPC junction where they met with the Council Chairman, Hon. Monsuru Obe, the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Paul Fregene and the Supervisor for Environment, Hon. Sodiq Adebisi.

Addressing the Committee, Fregene acknowledged the importance of unity in achieving group goal, stating that the award event would speak volume of the Constituency.

Fregene, who endorsed the event, canvassed more support for the success of the event.

Having publicly declared his intention to run for the LCDA chairmanship seat, Fregene said that he would give the award the necessary backing if voted in to succeed his boss, Hon. Obe.

He believed that the event would draw the attention of prominent personalities to the constituency, urging the residents of Ejigbo and Isolo to actively participate to ensure the event achieves its purpose.

Fregene encouraged the organisers to remain resolute and focus in ensuring the award event becomes successful.

The event is billed to hold on December 20.
