In anticipation of the global event, World Cleanup Day, Oshodi-Isolo Local Government has announced that it is prepared to welcome the Lagos State Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab, to join in the exercise.

The United Nations (UN) has designated the 20th of September as the day the world comes together to promote the significance of environmental cleanliness and its implications on human well-being. This year, Oshodi-Isolo is set to make a notable contribution to this global effort.

The Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, in line with this year’s World Cleanup Day celebration, has announced that the cleanup exercise will take place in various locations within the local government area, notably the Bada Community, markets, and motorparks.

According to the official schedule, the cleanup campaign will commence at 7 a.m. at Bada Community and end at 10 a.m. at the newly constructed Liverpool Road, with the Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, set to officially bring the event to a close.

The council boss urged all residents to brace up for the exercise and ensure its continuity.
