Oriwu Club Ikorodu Inducts 18 New Members

Oriwu Club of Ikorodu inducted 18 professionals into its prestigious fold. The club, established in 1973, has a long-standing reputation for fostering community development and excellence.

Among the new members were notable figures such as HRM Oba Semiu Orimaden Kasali, Barr. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju, and Hon. Babawale Bisiriyu Alogba. Other inductees included TPL Hakeem Adebayo Animashaun, Mr. Femi Adekoya Olukotun, Dr. Oluwaseun Temitayo Jayesimi, Alhaji Korede Shamsideen B. Kamoru, and Mr. Demola Adesina Shitta.

Also joining the club were Mr. Kamoru Adeyemi Olutosin, Dr. Ismail Adesanya, Arc. Alaba Ogunsanya, Mr. Aderemi Amokomowo, Mr. Kamoru Olowosago, Mr. Omotayo Babatunde Moshood, Mr. Olakitan Victor Odusanya, and Dr. Fatai Olateju Sonoki.

In his speech, Prince Ganie Adegboyega, President of Oriwu Club Ikorodu, highlighted the club’s rich history and core values.

Founded by 23 visionary individuals, the club has grown significantly over its 51-year history and now boasts nearly 150 members. Adegboyega emphasized that the club’s rigorous selection process ensures that only distinguished professionals who uphold the club’s values are admitted.

“The induction ceremony is a symbolic representation of our commitment to tradition, equity, and community development. Oriwu Club remains non-political and non-religious, and we expect all members to embody these ideals while serving as ambassadors to the community,” Adegboyega stated.

The induction ceremony further reinforced Oriwu Club’s dedication to excellence and its mission to foster a professional community making a positive impact on the Ikorodu division.

Hon. Babawale Bisiriyu Alogba, one of the newly inducted members, praised the club’s significant role in shaping his life and the community at large.

“Oriwu Club is a prominent club in Ikorodu, and my dad was one of its founding members,” Alogba said. “Growing up, I was inspired by his deep commitment to the club, which influenced my own path in philanthropy and community service.”

Alogba, who serves as the club’s social secretary, expressed pride in continuing his father’s legacy of philanthropy. “Our primary goal remains the betterment of the Ikorodu division. It is an honor to be part of this year’s induction, after missing the last one,” he added.

Esteemed members, including some of the founding fathers, were in attendance to witness the formal initiation of the new inductees.
